The extent of the patch repair depends upon the amount of damage the drywall has suffered. In most cases, the damage requires removing the fractured section of the drywall and replacing it with a new piece. Once we’ve bedded the new section of drywall into place, we’ll let the coats of bedding dry, and then we’ll apply texture to match the existing wall. If your wall is textured with a standard orange peel technique, we’ll come close to an exact match, but it will take at least a day for that texture to dry before we can apply paint. If your wall was textured with a skip trowel technique, no problem. Skip trowel is an artistic, spontaneous application of drywall mud, so it doesn’t have to adhere to a specific pattern.
